ਚਿਤੌੜਗੜ੍ਹ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ: ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਇਹ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ 7ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੈ। ਕਿਲਾ ਚਿਤਰਾਂਗਦਾ ਮੌਰਿਆ ਨੇ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੈਲਾਨੀ ਇਸ ਕਿਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਚਿਤੌੜਗੜ੍ਹ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਿਲਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਮੀਰ ਹੈ। ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲਤਾ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਸੈਲਾਨੀ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਚਿਤੌੜਗੜ੍ਹ ਦਾ ਕਿਲਾ ਜੈਪੁਰ ਤੋਂ 310 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਿਲਾ 700 ਏਕੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਰਾਚ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਯੂਨੈਸਕੋ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਰਾਣੀ ਪਦਮਾਵਤੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਨੌਕਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੌਹਰ ਦਾ ਕਤਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਜੌਹਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਤਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਮੇਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਅਲਾਉਦੀਨ ਖਿਲਜੀ ਦੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪਦਮਾਵਤੀ ਨੇ 16 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਚਿਤੌੜਗੜ੍ਹ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਨੀ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਈ। ਮੇਵਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਹਿਲ ਰਾਜਵੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਥਾਪਕ ਬੱਪਾ ਰਾਵਲ ਨੇ 8ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਰੀਆ ਰਾਜਵੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਮਨਮੋਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਚਿਤੌੜਗੜ੍ਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਕਿਲਾ ਹੁਣ ਖੰਡਰ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਆਓ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਕਿਲੇ ਬਾਰੇ 10 ਗੱਲਾਂ।

ਚਿਤੌੜਗੜ੍ਹ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚਿੱਤਰਕੂਟ ਪਹਾੜੀ ‘ਤੇ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ‘ਗੜ੍ਹ ਚਿਤੌੜਗੜ੍ਹ ਹੈ, ਬਾਕੀ ਸਭ ਗਧੀਆ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ 7 ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਪਦਲ ਪੋਲ, ਭੈਰਵ ਪੋਲ, ਹਨੂੰਮਾਨ ਪੋਲ, ਗਣੇਸ਼ ਪੋਲ, ਜੋਲੀ ਪੋਲ, ਲਕਸ਼ਮਣ ਪੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਪੋਲ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਦਰ, ਮਹਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਜਲ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ 113 ਮੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ 14 ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਤਾਲਾਬ ਹਨ।
ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਕਿਲਾ 700 ਏਕੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਚਿਤੌੜਗੜ੍ਹ ਦਾ ਕਿਲਾ ਬੇਰਾਚ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਲੰਬਾਈ 3 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਰੀਫਿਰਲ ਲੰਬਾਈ 13 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਲ 2013 ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂਨੈਸਕੋ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੰਦਰ, ਮਹਿਲ, ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਰਕ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਪਦਮਾਵਤੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਨੌਕਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੌਹਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਬੱਪਾ ਰਾਵਲ ਨੇ ਮੌਰੀਆ ਰਾਜਵੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਮਨਮੋਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ 8ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਤੌੜਗੜ੍ਹ ਦਾ ਕਿਲਾ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ।
