16 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ‘ਚ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ‘ਚ ਐਂਟਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੂਨਮ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਯਸ਼ ਚੋਪੜਾ ਦੀ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲ’ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ‘ਚ ਡੈਬਿਊ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਪੂਨਮ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਸ਼ ਚੋਪੜਾ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਸ਼ ਠੁਕਰਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਉਸਨੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਰਤ ‘ਤੇ ਫਿਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਪੂਨਮ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਅਭਿਨੇਤਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ, ਉਸਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਪੜ੍ਹ-ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਬਣਨਾ ਸੀ।
ਸ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੇ ਥੱਪੜ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ
ਪੂਨਮ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਏਅਰਫੋਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਅਰਕ੍ਰਾਫਟ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੂਰ-ਦੂਰ ਤੱਕ ਕੋਈ ਲੈਣਾ-ਦੇਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਨਮ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ‘ਚ ਆ ਗਈ। ਪੂਨਮ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇੱਕ ਸਟਾਰ ਬਣ ਗਈ, ਉਸਨੇ ਕਈ ਹਿੱਟ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਪੂਨਮ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਕਬੂਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਥੱਪੜ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਫਿਲਮ ਦਾ ਸੀਨ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੂਨਮ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈ
ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਯਸ਼ ਚੋਪੜਾ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਥੱਪੜ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸੀਨ ਅਸਲੀ ਲੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਥੱਪੜ ਵੀ ਅਸਲੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਨਮ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੰਗ ਰਹਿ ਗਈ। ਸੀਨ ਸ਼ੂਟ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੇ ਮਾਫੀ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਯਸ਼ ਚੋਪੜਾ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੂਨਮ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਰਮੇਸ਼ ਸਿੱਪੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ 1988 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਠਾਕੇਰੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾ ਲਿਆ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲ ਸਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ 1997 ‘ਚ ਵੱਖ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਐਕਸਟਰਾ ਮੈਰਿਟਲ ਅਫੇਅਰ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
