ਰਹਿਮਤੁੱਲਾ ਗੁਰਬਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸੈਂਕੜਾ ਜੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਸ਼ਾਹ (50) ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਮਤੁੱਲਾ ਉਮਰਜ਼ਈ (86) ਨੇ ਵਿਸਫੋਟਕ ਫਿਫਟੀ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ ਨੂੰ 312 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਟਾਸ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਚੌਥੇ ਨੰਬਰ ‘ਤੇ ਆਏ ਅਜ਼ਮਤੁੱਲਾ ਪਾਰੀ ਦੇ 35ਵੇਂ ਓਵਰ ‘ਚ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਆਏ। ਗੁਰਬਾਜ਼ ਦੇ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਧਮਾਕੇਦਾਰ ਪਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਬਦੌਲਤ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਦੌਲਤ ਉਹ 300 ਦਾ ਅੰਕੜਾ ਪਾਰ ਕਰ ਗਿਆ। ਅਜਮਤ ਨੇ 50 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 5 ਚੌਕਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ 6 ਛੱਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਅਜੇਤੂ 86 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ।
ਬਾਅਦ ‘ਚ ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਖਾਨ ਨੇ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ‘ਚ ਸਨਸਨੀ ਮਚਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਫਰੀਕੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਕਮਰ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ 9 ਓਵਰਾਂ ‘ਚ ਸਿਰਫ 19 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੇ 5 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਅਫਰੀਕੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ 6 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।
ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ ਨੇ 312 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਕਪਤਾਨ ਟੇਂਬਾ ਬਾਵੁਮਾ (38) ਅਤੇ ਟੋਨੀ ਡੀਜਾਰਜ (31) ਨੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਵਿਕਟ ਲਈ 73 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਬਾਵੁਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਅਜ਼ਮਤੁੱਲਾ ਨੇ ਆਊਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਲਾਈਨ ‘ਤੇ ਸੱਟ ਮਾਰੀ।
ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ ‘ਤੇ ਦਬਾਅ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਵਧ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਾਰਜਾਹ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਧੀਮੀ ਪਿੱਚ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਫੀ ਸਾਥ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਸਪਿਨਰ ਅਫਰੀਕੀ ਟੀਮ ‘ਤੇ ਹਾਵੀ ਰਹੇ। ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ 35ਵੇਂ ਓਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 134 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਆਲ ਆਊਟ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
