ਮੁੰਬਈ: ਜੇਕਰ ‘ਅਮਜਦ ਖਾਨ’ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ‘ਗੱਬਰ ਸਿੰਘ’ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਅਮਜਦ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਸ਼ੋਲੇ’ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਡਾਕੂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਮਜਦ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਨੇ ਜੋਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ‘ਗੱਬਰ ਸਿੰਘ’ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੈ। ਆਓ ਅੱਜ ਅਮਜਦ ਖਾਨ ਦੇ ਜਨਮਦਿਨ ‘ਤੇ ਇਸ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਆਂ ਕੁਝ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਾਣਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰੀਏ।
ਅਮਜਦ ਖਾਨ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 12 ਨਵੰਬਰ 1940 ਨੂੰ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਬਾਂਦਰਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਂਟ ਐਂਡਰਿਊਜ਼ ਹਾਈ ਸਕੂਲ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਆਰ.ਕੇ. ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਤੋਂ ਡੀ. ਕਾਲਜ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਹ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਹੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਹੋਈ।
ਡੈਨੀ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ
ਅਮਜਦ ਖਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਵਿੱਚ 132 ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। 1975 ਦੀ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਸ਼ੋਲੇ’ ਤੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਮਿਲੀ। ਇਹ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਮੀਲ ਦਾ ਪੱਥਰ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ‘ਗੱਬਰ ਸਿੰਘ’ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਅਮਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਡੈਨੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਾਰੀਖਾਂ ਮੁਫਤ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ. ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਡੈਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਡੈਨੀ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਧਰਮਾਤਮਾ’ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਫਿਲਮ ਲਈ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਮਜਦ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਫਿਲਮ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਜਗਤ ‘ਤੇ ਦਬਦਬਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
ਸਲੀਮ ਖਾਨ ਦਾ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਸੀ
ਡੈਨੀ ਦੇ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਗੱਬਰ’ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਲਈ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ‘ਚ ਸਲੀਮ ਖਾਨ ਨੇ ਰਮੇਸ਼ ਸਿੱਪੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਜਦ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸੁਝਾਇਆ। ਸਲਮਾਨ ਖਾਨ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਲੀਮ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਸੁਝਾਅ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਅਮਜਦ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਲ ਲਈ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਲੀਮ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਫਿਲਮ ਲਈ ਟਰੰਪ ਕਾਰਡ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
