ਅਮਰੀਸ਼ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ
ਅਮਰੀਸ਼ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 22 ਜੂਨ 1932 ਨੂੰ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਸ਼ ਪੁਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਫਿਲਮੀ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਮਰਾਠੀ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। 1967 ਦੀ ਮਰਾਠੀ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਸ਼ਾਂਤਤੂ ! ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ‘ਕੋਰਟ ਚਲੂ ਆਹੇ’ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰੀਸ਼ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ, ਜੋ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਦੇ ਡੱਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਮਰੀਸ਼ ਪੁਰੀ ਨੂੰ 39 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਮਿਲੀ।
ਭਰਾ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਫਿਲਮ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਇਨਕਾਰ
ਅਮਰੀਸ਼ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਕਰੀਨ ਟੈਸਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੁਕਰਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਬੀਮਾ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੋਟੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਅਮਰੀਸ਼ ਪੁਰੀ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ‘ਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਫ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਹੀਰੋ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਮਰੀਸ਼ ਪੁਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਮਰੀਸ਼ ਪੁਰੀ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਲੇਨ ਹਨ। ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਅਮਰੀਸ਼ ਪੁਰੀ ਨੇ ਹਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਖਲਨਾਇਕ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਛਾਪ ਛੱਡੀ ਹੈ। ਮਰਹੂਮ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਟੀਵਨ ਸਪੀਲਬਰਗ ਦੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਇੰਡੀਆਨਾ ਜੋਨਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੂਲਾ ਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਸੀ।

70 ਦੇ ਦਹਾਕੇ ‘ਚ ਅਮਰੀਸ਼ ਪੁਰੀ ਨੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਂਤ, ਮੰਥਨ, ਭੂਮਿਕਾ, ਆਕ੍ਰੋਸ਼ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ 80 ਦੇ ਦਹਾਕੇ ‘ਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖਲਨਾਇਕ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ‘ਚ ਕਈ ਅਭੁੱਲ ਭੂਮਿਕਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਭਾਈਆਂ। ਹਮ ਪੰਚ, ਨਸੀਬ, ਵਿਧਾਤਾ, ਹੀਰੋ, ਅੰਧਾ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ, ਅਰਧ ਸੱਤਿਆ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਖਲਨਾਇਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਛਾਪ ਛੱਡੀ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। 1987 ਦੀ ਮਿਸਟਰ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਮੋਗੈਂਬੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਫਿਲਮ ਦਾ ਡਾਇਲਾਗ ‘ਮੋਗੈਂਬੋ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੁਆ’ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ‘ਚ ਛਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
