55 ਸਾਲਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ’ਤੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧ ’ਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ’ਚ ਲਏ ਦੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ
Surrey- ਸਰੀ ’ਚ ਬੀਤੇ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ’ਤੇ ਜਾਨਲੇਵਾ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧ ’ਚ ਦੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲੱਗੇ ਹਨ। ਆਰ. ਸੀ. ਐਮ. ਪੀ. ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬੀਤੀ 18 ਅਗਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਤੀਂ ਕਰੀਬ 11.30 ਵਜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਕਿ ਕਿੰਗ ਜਾਰਜ ਬੁਲੇਵਾਰਡ ਅਤੇ 102 ਐਵੇਨਿਊ ਇਲਾਕੇ ’ਚ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਛੁਰਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਘੁੰਮ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮਿਲਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਰਸਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਕਿ ਉਕਤ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਕਥਿਰ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਹਨ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਨ ’ਚ ਸਵਾਰ ਦੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਜਦੋਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ 55 ਸਾਲ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਜਾਨਲੇਵਾ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਜਾਂਚਕਰਤਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧ ’ਚ ਦੋ ਸ਼ੱਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿ੍ਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ 31 ਸਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ ਅਤੇ 21 ਸਾਲਾ ਸਿਮਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ’ਚ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ’ਚ ਹਨ।
ਆਰ. ਸੀ. ਐਮ. ਪੀ. ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਮੁੰਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਇੰਨੀਆਂ ਵੱਧ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ’ਚ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਜਾਨਲੇਵਾ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਹਰ ਵਿਕਅਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ’ਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਨਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਇਸ ’ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣ।
