ਤਜਰਬੇਕਾਰ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਟੀਮ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਵਿਰਾਟ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਟਕੀਪਰ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਰਿਸ਼ਭ ਪੰਤ ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਟੀ-20 ਮੈਚ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਵਿਰਾਟ ਨੇ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਦੇ ਈਡਨ ਗਾਰਡਨ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ‘ਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਟੀ-20 ਮੈਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬ੍ਰੇਕ ਮੰਗੀ ਸੀ। ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਇਓ ਬੱਬਲ ਤੋਂ 10 ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਬ੍ਰੇਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਵਿਰਾਟ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਪੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬ੍ਰੇਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਵਿਰਾਟ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਤ ਹੁਣ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਟੀ-20 ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣ ਸਕਣਗੇ।
ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਜੇ ਟੀ-20 ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਚ 2-0 ਦੀ ਅਜੇਤੂ ਬੜ੍ਹਤ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡੇ ਗਏ ਉਸ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਵਿਰਾਟ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਭ ਪੰਤ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਅਰਧ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਸਨ। ਪੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਨ ਆਫ ਦਾ ਮੈਚ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਵਿਰਾਟ ਕੋਹਲੀ 24 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਲਖਨਊ ‘ਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਮੈਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੀ-20 ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੇਡਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਬਾਕੀ 2 ਮੈਚ 26 ਅਤੇ 27 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮਸ਼ਾਲਾ ‘ਚ ਖੇਡੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਹ 4 ਅਗਸਤ ਤੋਂ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ‘ਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਟੈਸਟ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਚ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ 3 ਮੈਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਦਾ ਆਖਰੀ ਮੈਚ ਕੱਲ ਯਾਨੀ 20 ਫਰਵਰੀ 2022 ਨੂੰ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ‘ਚ ਖੇਡਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਵਿਰਾਟ ਦੀ ਗੈਰ-ਮੌਜੂਦਗੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਟੀਮ ‘ਚ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਅਸ ਅਈਅਰ ਦੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਤੈਅ ਮੰਨੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੇਅਸ ਨੇ ਟੀ-20 ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ 2 ਮੈਚਾਂ ‘ਚ ਇਕ ਵੀ ਮੈਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੇਡਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸਨੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਵਾਰ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਟੀ-20 ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮੈਚ ਖੇਡਿਆ ਸੀ। ਸ਼੍ਰੇਅਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਵਨਡੇ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਅਹਿਮਦਾਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੜੀ ਦੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਵਨਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ 80 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪਾਰੀ ਖੇਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮੈਚ ਦਾ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਬੋਰਡ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਪੀਟੀਆਈ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ‘ਵਿਰਾਟ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਲਈ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਬੋਰਡ ਨੇ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਾਰਮੈਟਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਇਓ-ਬਬਲ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਯਮਤ ਬ੍ਰੇਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਬੋਝ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
