ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ: ਚੇਨਈ ਸੁਪਰ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਦੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਮਹਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧੋਨੀ ਲਈ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ 2023 ਆਖਰੀ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਟੀਮ ਜਿੱਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੇਗੀ। ਮਾਹੀ ਵੀ ਲੀਗ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਵਾਂ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਦੇ ਇਰਾਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਦਾਨ ‘ਚ ਉਤਰੇਗੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਲੀਗ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ CSK ਲਈ ਬੁਰੀ ਖਬਰ ਆਈ ਹੈ। ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਸਟਾਰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ ਕਾਇਲ ਜੈਮੀਸਨ ਆਈ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਲ. ਜੈਮੀਸਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਲਾਮੀ ‘ਚ ਚੇਨਈ ਸੁਪਰ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਨੇ 1 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ‘ਚ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬੇਸ ਕੀਮਤ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜੈਮੀਸਨ ਰਾਇਲ ਚੈਲੇਂਜਰਜ਼ ਬੈਂਗਲੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਸਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 15 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ‘ਚ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ ਕਾਇਲ ਜੈਮੀਸਨ ਇਸ ਹਫਤੇ ਪਿੱਠ ਦੀ ਸਰਜਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਤਿੰਨ ਤੋਂ ਚਾਰ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੈਮੀਸਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਜੂਨ ‘ਚ ਪਿੱਠ ‘ਤੇ ਸੱਟ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਦਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੱਟ ਫਿਰ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ‘ਚ ਜੇਮੀਸਨ ਪੂਰੀ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਐਮਆਰਆਈ ਸਕੈਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਜਨ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਬੋਰਡ ਨੇ ਜੈਮੀਸਨ ਦੀ ਸਰਜਰੀ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
