Canadian man dies in IEC custody in U.S.

VIRGINIA, AUGUST 10: A 72-year-old Canadian national who contracted coronavirus while in the custody of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) died on Wednesday night.

James Hill died at a Virginia hospital, four weeks after being transferred there from a nearby detention facility run by the ICE.

It is being said that he died of Covid-19. According to a report, many people who are under the detention of ICE have also been affected by coronavirus.

Hill, a former Louisiana doctor, was in ICE custody for three months after serving more than 13 years in prison for health-care fraud.
