COVID-19/Coronavirus: Punjab Records Single Day Spike of 468 Cases With 9 More Deaths

CHANDIGARH, JULY 25: Punjab recorded 468 new cases of coronavirus or COVID-19 with 9 more deaths, according to the state’s media bulletin on Saturday.

The development has taken the state’s cases tally to 12,684 and death toll to 291.

20 out of Punjab’s 22 district reported cases of coronavirus.

Of the 468 cases, 155 cases were reported from Ludhiana; 55 from Amritsar; 40 from Patiala; 38 from Sangrur; 32 from SAS Nagar; 29 from Jalandhar; 18 each from Barnala and Bathinda; 16 from Gurdaspur; 10 each from Ferozepur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, and Kapurthala; 6 each from Pathankot, Moga and Ropar; 5 from Tarn Taran; 2 from SBS Nagar; and 1 each from Hoshiarpur and Mansa.

The sources of 11 positive cases of coronavirus were out of Punjab.

There are a total of 4,096 active cases of coronavirus in the state, says bulletin.

Meanwhile, 201 more patients cured and were discharged, taking the state’s recovery toll to 8,297.
