2015 ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਹੋਈ ਸ਼ਰੀਕ ਬਾਕਸ ਆਫਿਸ ‘ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਹਿੱਟ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਸਦੇ ਸੀਕਵਲ ਦੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸਕੇ। ‘ਸ਼ਰੀਕ 2’ ਦੀ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਦਾ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਸੀ। ਫਿਲਮ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ 24 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2020 ਨੂੰ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਹੋਣੀ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਕਰੋਨਾਵਾਇਰਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਵਿਆਪੀ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਇਸ ਦੀ 2021 ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਟੀਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਰੀਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
