‘Don’t Spare Them’: Cricketer Suresh Raina To Punjab Police Over Attack On His Family

PATHANKOT, SEPTEMBER 1: Former India cricketer Suresh Raina on Tuesday sought assistance from the Punjab Police days after his family was attacked in Punjab’s Pathankot. He said “till date, we don’t know what happened that night and who did this.”

The cricketer lost his uncle and a cousin after some robbers reportedly attacked the family was attacked at their home in Pathankot.

“What happened to my family in Punjab was beyond horrible. My uncle was slaughtered to death, my bua (aunt) and both my cousins had severe injuries. Unfortunately my cousin also passed away last night after battling for life for days. My bua is still very very critical & is on life support,” the 33-year-old cricketer tweeted on Tuesday.

Suresh Raina also tagged Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, while stressing “those criminals should not be spared”.

“Till date we don’t know what exactly had happened that night & who did this. I request @PunjabPoliceInd to look into this matter. We at least deserve to know who did this heinous act to them. Those criminals should not be spared to commit more crimes. @capt_amarinder @CMOPb,” Raina added.

The attack was reported about 10 days ago, on the night of August 20.
