Exhibit Spotlight – Being Punjabi: Unfolding the Surrey Story

Celebrate the opening of our latest exhibit about Surrey’s Punjabi community.
Bring the family to experience Punjabi culture. Take in the performances, get free henna and be among the first to see the new exhibit, Being Punjabi: Unfolding the Surrey Story. Complete with Indian Delicacy Food Truck, vegan lassi from Plant Veda, amazing cake from Just Cakes and more.

Surrey RCMP and Super Save Shredding invite you to a free Shred-a-Thon. Bring your documents for on-site shredding and get information on preventing identity theft. Donations of cash or non-perishable food for the Surrey Food Bank are welcome.

Heritage Apple Day

Celebrate the unique heritage of Derby Reach and historic Langley, BC at this free family-friendly event. Join us at the 15th annual Heritage Apple Day, back by popular demand! Drop by the Derby Reach Regional Park Heritage Area any time between 11am and 2pm to join the festivities apple tastings and sampling,interactive demonstrations and tours,enjoy fiddlers, artists, and historians. DRBIPA proudly presents this annual event – with support for 2019 provided by Metro Vancouver Regional Parks and TD Park People Grants.

Everyone is welcome to participate – no experience is required. Tools and training are provided. Parent participation required for children ages 13 and under.Drop-in, rain or shine. Event may be cancelled in high winds or extreme weather conditions. Stay comfortable by wearing appropriate clothing for mixed weather conditions. Please wear sturdy footwear, layered clothing, and sun or rain protection.

Taste of Oktoberfest

We wrap up the summer season of the Clayton Community Farmer’s Market by hosting a family-friendly Oktoberfest.
