ਡੈਸਕ- ਜ਼ੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਨੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਮਚਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਬ੍ਰਾਜ਼ੀਲ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣ-ਪੂਰਬ ਦੇ ਤੱਟੀ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਏ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਖਿਸਕਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 36 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌ.ਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵੀਹ ਰਾਹਤ ਤੇ ਬਚਾਅ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਬ੍ਰਾਜ਼ੀਲ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਰਾਜ ਸਾਓ ਪਾਓਲੋ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਖਿਸਕਣ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਬ੍ਰਾਜ਼ੀਲ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਸਾਓ ਪਾਓਲੋ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਖਿਸਕਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਖਿਸਕਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 36 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌ.ਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਹਾਲੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਬ੍ਰਾਜ਼ੀਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਓ ਪਾਓਲੋ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਸਾਓ ਸੇਬਸਟਿਆਓ ਤੇ ਬਰਟੀਓਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਾਰਨੀਵਲ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਬਚਾਅ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਲਾਪਤਾ, ਜ਼ਖਮੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਲਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਬੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਾਓ ਸੇਬਾਸਟਿਆਓ ਦੇ ਮੇਅਰ ਫੇਲਿਪ ਔਗਸਟੋ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਚਾਅ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਕਈ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਅਰਾਜਕਤਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਖਿਸਕਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਦਰਜਨਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ 50 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਘਰ ਢਹਿ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਦਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਸਾਓ ਪਾਓਲੋ ਰਾਜ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ 600 ਮਿਲੀਮੀਟਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਜੋ ਬ੍ਰਾਜ਼ੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਨੇ ਘੱਟ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਹੈ। ਰਾਜ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਕੱਲੇ ਬਰਟੀਓਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ 687 ਮਿਲੀਮੀਟਰ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਹੋਈ । ਗਵਰਨਰ ਤਾਰਸੀਸੀਓ ਡੀ ਫਰੀਟਾਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫੌਜ ਤੋਂ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਇਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਹਵਾਈ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬਚਾਅ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਭੇਜੇਗਾ । ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਬਾਤੁਬਾ, ਸਾਓ ਸੇਬਸਟਿਆਓ, ਇਲਹਾਬੇਲਾ, ਕਾਰਾਗੁਆਟੁਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਟੀਓਗਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜਨਤਕ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਦਾ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ।
