ਬੈਡਮਿੰਟਨ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਗਏ
ਸੂਰਿਆਕੁਮਾਰ ਯਾਦਵ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟਰ ਬਣਨ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਇਕ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਹੈ। ਦਰਅਸਲ ਸੂਰਿਆ ਬਚਪਨ ‘ਚ ਬੈਡਮਿੰਟਨ ਖੇਡਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਖੇਡ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜੂਨੀਅਰ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੱਕ ਬੈਡਮਿੰਟਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਹਾਰਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇਸ ਖੇਡ ਤੋਂ ਮੋਹ ਭੰਗ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਬੈਡਮਿੰਟਨ ਮੈਚ ਜਲਦੀ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੀ। ਸੂਰਿਆ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਬੈਡਮਿੰਟਨ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਖੇਡਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
