ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਦੇ 15ਵੇਂ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਹੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਣ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਦੋ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਸਟਾਰ ਆਲਰਾਊਂਡਰ ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਪੰਡਯਾ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਟਾਇਟਨਸ (ਜੀਟੀ) ਲਈ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਣਗੇ। ਘਰੇਲੂ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੜੌਦਾ ਲਈ ਖੇਡਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੰਡਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਫਰੈਂਚਾਇਜ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਟੀਮ ਦਾ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਵੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੰਡਯਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਣਗੇ।
ਇਸ ਲੀਗ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਟਾਈਟਨਜ਼ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਵਿਕਰਮ ਸੋਲੰਕੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਆਲਰਾਊਂਡਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਲ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਬਣਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹਨ। ਪੰਡਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਨਿਲਾਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਟਾਈਟਨਸ ਨੇ 15 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਇੰਡੀਅਨਜ਼ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਏ ਸਨ।
ਸੋਲੰਕੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਰੀਫ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਐਮਐਸ ਧੋਨੀ, ਵਿਰਾਟ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਤਜਰਬਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ‘ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਆਈ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਲ. ‘ਚ ਦੋ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਫ੍ਰੈਂਚਾਇਜ਼ੀ ਜੋੜੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਦੋਵੇਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ 28 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਖੇਡ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਨਗੀਆਂ।
‘ਦ ਟੈਲੀਗ੍ਰਾਫ’ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸੋਲੰਕੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ”ਅਸੀਂ ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ‘ਚ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਕਈ ਗੁਣ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਫਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਹੈ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਟਰੈਕ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਾਂ।
“ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਵਿਰਾਟ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਐਮਐਸ ਧੋਨੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਪਤਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡਣ ਦਾ ਕਾਫੀ ਤਜਰਬਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਤਜ਼ਰਬੇ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸਟਾਫ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
45 ਸਾਲਾ ਸੋਲੰਕੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਦੇ ਮੁੜ ਵਸੇਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੇਡ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਹਿਲੂਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ, ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਫੀਲਡਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਫਿੱਟ ਖੇਡਣ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ‘ਤੇ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਝ ਸੰਜਮ ਵਰਤਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
