ਵਾਲਮੀਕੀ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ: ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜੀਵਣ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਚੰਪਾਰਨ, ਬਿਹਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਵਾਲਮੀਕੀ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।ਬਿਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਇੱਕੋ ਇੱਕ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਸੈੰਕਚੂਰੀ ਵਾਲਮੀਕਿ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ (VTR) ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਬਾਘਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਬਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਪਵੇ, ਘਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਟੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਨ ਦੇ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਪਾਵਨ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸੂਰਜੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੰਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ
ਬਾਘਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਯਮਤ ਪਾਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੈੰਕਚੂਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੱਟ ਲਾਗਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਪੱਖੀ ਸੂਰਜੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੰਪ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਸ ਬੁਝਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਟੈਂਕਰਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਲ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਭਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਜ਼ਾਹਿਰ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਮਹਿੰਗੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਫੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਵੀ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਇਸ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਰ ਪੰਪ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇਕਰ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਸਫਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਪੰਪ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ
ਜਦੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਿਆਸ ਬੁਝਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪਾਵਨ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ। ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਲਘਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਘੱਟ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਾਘ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜੀਵ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੇੜਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਬਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ-ਜੰਗਲੀ ਟਕਰਾਅ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜੀਵਨ ਰੇਖਾ ਹੈ ਇੱਥੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਵਾਟਰ ਹੋਲ
ਇਸ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਕਲੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਕੁੱਲ 40 ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਛੇਕ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਘਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਇੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਜੀਵਨ ਰੇਖਾ ਹਨ। ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗਰਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਗਰਮੀ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਵੀ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਇੱਥੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਹੈ।
ਬਾਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ 50 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਹੈ
ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਵੀਟੀਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਧ ਕੇ 54 ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਸਾਲ 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਥੇ ਬਾਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਲ ਗਿਣਤੀ 31 ਸੀ ਅਤੇ 2014 ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 28 ਸੀ। ਪਿਛਲੀ ਜੁਲਾਈ ‘ਚ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਕੰਜ਼ਰਵੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ (NTCA) ਨੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਵਾਲਮੀਕਿ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ‘ਚ ਬਾਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਧਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
VTR ਬਿਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕੋ ਇੱਕ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਸੈੰਕਚੂਰੀ ਹੈ
ਵਾਲਮੀਕਿ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਇਕਲੌਤਾ ਟਾਈਗਰ ਸੈੰਕਚੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਚੰਪਾਰਨ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ-ਪੱਛਮੀ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਨੋਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਚੰਪਾਰਣ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੋ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ – ਚੰਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਣਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ ਚੰਪਾ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੰਗਲ। VTR ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਲਮੀਕੀ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਪਾਰਕ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਲਮੀਕੀ ਵਾਈਲਡਲਾਈਫ ਸੈਂਚੂਰੀ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਵੀਟੀਆਰ ਵਾਲਮੀਕਿ ਵਾਈਲਡਲਾਈਫ ਸੈਂਚੂਰੀ 880 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੇਪਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਛਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਘਿਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
