ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਪੰਡਯਾ ਦੀ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਟੀਮ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਟੀ-20 ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰੋਵਿਡੈਂਸ ‘ਚ ਖੇਡੇ ਗਏ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ 7 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ‘ਤੇ 152 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਬਣਾ ਸਕੀ। ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਟੀਚਾ ਸੱਤ ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਬਾਕੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ 8 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਗੁਆ ਕੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਦੋ ਮੈਚ ਹਾਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਹੁਣ ਪੰਜ ਮੈਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੀ-20 ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਚ 0-2 ਨਾਲ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੈ। ਕਪਤਾਨ ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਪੰਡਯਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਹਾਰ ਲਈ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੰਗਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਤਿਲਕ ਵਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਅਰਧ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਦੇ ਦਮ ‘ਤੇ ਸੱਤ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ‘ਤੇ 152 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ। ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਕੋਲਸ ਪੂਰਨ ਨੇ 40 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 67 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਰੱਖੀ। ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਨੇ 18.5 ਓਵਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਠ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਗੁਆ ਕੇ ਟੀਚਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਨੇ ਮੈਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਿਹਾ, ਸਾਡੇ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੰਗਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਗੁਆਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਪਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਹੌਲੀ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ 160 ਜਾਂ 170 ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਦੇ ਸੀ। ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਇਹ ਮੈਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਫਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਸਪਿਨਰ ਗੇਂਦ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਖੋਹ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਜਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਲਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।”
ਕਪਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਮੈਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਧ ਸੈਂਕੜਾ ਜੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਤਿਲਕ ਵਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਪਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਤਾਰੀਫ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਤਿਲਕ ਨੇ 41 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜ ਚੌਕਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਛੱਕੇ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ 51 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਰਧ ਸੈਂਕੜਾ ਜੜਿਆ।ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਮੈਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਟੀਮ ਲਈ ਉਪਯੋਗੀ ਪਾਰੀ ਖੇਡੀ। ਤਿਲਕ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਰ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤਿਲਕ ਵਰਮਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਚੌਥੇ ਨੰਬਰ ‘ਤੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਹੱਥ ਦਾ ਵਿਕਲਪ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਜੇ-ਖੱਬੇ ਹੱਥ ਦਾ ਸੁਮੇਲ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਆਤਮਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਡਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।ਉਹ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਅਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ਼ਯੋਗ ਸੀ। ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ।
