ਇਹ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਗਰਾਜ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਮੁਗਲ ਸਮਰਾਟ ਅਕਬਰ ਨੇ 1583 ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਗਰਾਜ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਹ ਪੂਰੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਇੱਕੋ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨੂੰਮਾਨ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਲੇਟਵੀਂ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਲਗਭਗ 20 ਫੁੱਟ ਉੱਚੀ ਹੈ। ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਰਾਮ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੰਗਮ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹਨੂੰਮਾਨ ਜੀ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਥਕਾਵਟ ਕਾਰਨ ਇੱਥੇ ਲੇਟ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ, ਉਸਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਇਸ ਅਹੁਦੇ ‘ਤੇ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
