ਮਹਾਸ਼ਿਵਰਾਤਰੀ 2024: ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਮਹਾਸ਼ਿਵਰਾਤਰੀ 8 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ਿਵਰਾਤਰੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸੱਤ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲਵ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਸ਼ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਤਪੱਸਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਕਰੀਬ 412 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਅਲਮੋੜਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੋਨੇ-ਕੋਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਇੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਧਾਮ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਸਕੰਦ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਵੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਪਤਰਿਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਤਪੱਸਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿੱਚ 124 ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਛੋਟੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਇਮਾਰਤਸਾਜ਼ੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਕਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਮੰਦਰ ਕਟਯੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦ ਸ਼ਾਸਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਇੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਅੱਠਵੇਂ ਜਯੋਤਿਰਲਿੰਗ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸਕ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਇਸ ਦਾਰੂਕਾਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਸਮਾਧੀ (ਸਮਾਧੀ) ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਇੰਦਰ, ਵਰੁਣ, ਕੁਬੇਰ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ, ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ, ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ, ਨਵਦੁਰਗਾ, ਨੀਲਕੰਠ, ਸੂਰਜ, ਯਮ ਆਦਿ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੰਦਰ ਹਨ। ਆਦਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਵੀ ਅੱਠਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ। ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸਕ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲਵ-ਕੁਸ਼ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਯੱਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਕੇਦਾਰਨਾਥ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਆਦਿ ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਨੇ ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਧਾਮ ਵਿਖੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਮਾਰਤਸਾਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਇਹ 7ਵੀਂ ਤੋਂ 12ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਦਿ ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਵਲਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਧਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਖ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤੇ। ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇੱਥੇ ਬੁਰਾ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਨੋਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਹਾਮਰਿਤੁੰਜਯ ਮੰਤਰ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
