ਟੀਮ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਮਯੰਕ ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਖਿਲਾਫ 1 ਜੁਲਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਐਜਬੈਸਟਨ ਟੈਸਟ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਲਈ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਮਯੰਕ 27 ਜਾਂ 28 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਟੀਮ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ‘ਚ ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਮਯੰਕ ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਆਰੰਟੀਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚ ਖੇਡਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੈ। 31 ਸਾਲਾ ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਇਕਲੌਤੇ ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚ ਲਈ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ‘ਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਕੇਐੱਲ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਦੀ ਸੱਟ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਕੋਰੋਨਾ ਪਾਜ਼ੀਟਿਵ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਟੀਮ ‘ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮਯੰਕ ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਸਾਲ 2022 ‘ਚ ਫਾਰਮ ‘ਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ
ਮਯੰਕ ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਮਾਰਚ ‘ਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਟੈਸਟ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਚ ਖੇਡਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਦੋ ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚਾਂ ‘ਚ ਮਯੰਕ 19.66 ਦੀ ਔਸਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰਫ 59 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਬਣਾ ਸਕੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮਯੰਕ ਨੇ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਦੀ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ਸੰਭਾਲੀ। ਮਯੰਕ ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਛਾਪ ਛੱਡਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਫਲ ਰਹੇ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ 2022 ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ 16.33 ਦੀ ਔਸਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 196 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਟ੍ਰਾਈਕ ਰੇਟ ਵੀ ਸਿਰਫ 122 ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਅਸਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਪਿਆ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਅੰਕ ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਸਥਾਨ ’ਤੇ ਹੈ।
ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਮਯੰਕ ਰਣਜੀ ਟਰਾਫੀ ਦੇ ਕੁਆਰਟਰ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਟੀਮ ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਲਈ ਖੇਡਿਆ। ਮਯੰਕ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕੁਆਰਟਰ ਫਾਈਨਲ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ 10 ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਪਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ 22 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਜੋੜੀਆਂ। ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਨੇ ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਸੈਮੀਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਥਾਂ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ।
ਮਯੰਕ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ‘ਚ ਕੋਈ ਟੈਸਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੇਡਿਆ ਹੈ
ਮਯੰਕ ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਲਈ 21 ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 42 ਦੀ ਔਸਤ ਨਾਲ 1488 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਚਾਰ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਛੇ ਅਰਧ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਹਨ। ਮਯੰਕ ਨੇ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਮੈਦਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਮਯੰਕ ਨੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਧਰਤੀ ‘ਤੇ 12 ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚਾਂ ‘ਚ ਸਿਰਫ 26 ਦੀ ਔਸਤ ਨਾਲ 590 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ, ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ, ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ‘ਤੇ ਅਰਧ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ‘ਚ ਸਫਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਰੋਹਿਤ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ‘ਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਕ, ਬੁਮਰਾਹ ਬਣ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਪਤਾਨ
