ਵਾਸ਼ਿੰਗਟਨ/ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ- ਕੋਰੋਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੁਣ ਮੋਂਕੀਪਾਕਸ ਦਾ ਖਤਰਾ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਚ ਫੈਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਚ ਸਿਹਤ ਐਮਰਜੈਸੀ ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ । ਓਧਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਖਤਰੇ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਹੋਈ ਬੈਠਾ ਹਹੈ । ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਬਤ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ਚ ਅਲਰਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ।
ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਕੀਪੌਕਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜੋ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਾਇਰਸ ਅਮਰੀਕੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਖਤਰਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਐਲਾਨ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਬਾਇਡਨ ਦੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਜੇਵੀਅਰ ਬੇਸੇਰਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਯੂਰਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਮੰਕੀਪੌਕਸ ਦੀ ਲਾਗ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਯੂਐਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਕਦਮ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਵਾਧੂ ਫੰਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਕਰਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਫੰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਕੋਪ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਵਾਧੂ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।

ਆਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ਼ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸਿਜ਼ (ਏਮਜ਼), ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ 12 ਨਮੂਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਮੰਕੀਪੌਕਸ ਲਈ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਟੈਸਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਨਾਇਕ ਜੈ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਨਰਾਇਣ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ (ਐੱਲ.ਐੱਨ.ਜੇ.ਪੀ.) ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ‘ਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੰਕੀਪੌਕਸ ਲਈ ਲਾਗ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਹਾਲੀਆ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਡਾ: ਲਲਿਤ ਡਾਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ, ਮਾਈਕ੍ਰੋਬਾਇਓਲੋਜੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਏਮਜ਼ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, 15 ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗਸ਼ਾਲਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂਚ ਲਈ ICMR ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਆਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ਼ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸਿਜ਼ (ਏਮਜ਼), ਦਿੱਲੀ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਤਕ ਮੰਕੀਪੌਕਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ 12 ਨਮੂਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਵਾਇਰੋਲੋਜੀ ਲੈਬ, ਏਮਜ਼, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ 15 ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗਸ਼ਾਲਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਹਤ ਖੋਜ ਵਿਭਾਗ – ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਆਫ਼ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਰਿਸਰਚ (ICMR) ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
