ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਦੇ 23ਵੇਂ ਮੈਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਇੰਡੀਅਨਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਹਰੀ ਮਾਰ ਝੱਲਣੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਮੈਚ ਵੀ 12 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਰ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ‘ਤੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਵੀ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡੇ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਨੇ ਹੌਲੀ ਰਫਤਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੂਰੀ ਟੀਮ ‘ਤੇ ਆਈ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਲ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਕਪਤਾਨ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ‘ਤੇ 24 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਪਲੇਇੰਗ ਇਲੈਵਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਕੀ 10 ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ‘ਤੇ 6-6 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਮੈਚ 12 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ।
ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ, ”ਮੁੰਬਈ ਇੰਡੀਅਨਜ਼ ਨੂੰ 13 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਣੇ ਦੇ ਐਮਸੀਏ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਮੈਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੌਲੀ ਓਵਰ-ਰੇਟ ਲਈ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।” ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ 5ਵੀਂ ਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ‘ਚ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਇਹ ਗਲਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਈ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਲ. ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ‘ਮੁੰਬਈ ਇੰਡੀਅਨਜ਼ ਦੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ‘ਤੇ 24 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਪਲੇਇੰਗ ਇਲੈਵਨ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ‘ਤੇ 6 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੈਚ। ਫੀਸ ਦਾ 25 ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤ (ਜੋ ਵੀ ਘੱਟ ਹੋਵੇ) ਦਾ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਰੋਹਿਤ ‘ਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕੈਪੀਟਲਸ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਹੌਲੀ ਓਵਰ ਰੇਟ ਲਈ 12 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਪ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਲਗਾਤਾਰ 5 ਮੈਚ ਹਾਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਦਬਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਹੌਲੀ ਓਵਰ ਰੇਟ ਲਈ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਦ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾਏਗਾ।
ਮੁੰਬਈ ਦਾ ਅਗਲਾ ਮੈਚ ਲਖਨਊ ਸੁਪਰ ਜਾਇੰਟਸ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰੇਬੋਰਨ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ‘ਚ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 3.30 ਵਜੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
