ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਤੋਂ ਤੌਬਾ! ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ
ਡੈਸਕ- ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਆਗੂ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਕਰਨ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਰ ਲੀਗ (IPL) 2024 ‘ਚ ਕੁਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਣਗੇ। ਖੇਡ ਚੈਨਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਕਾਊਂਟ ‘ਤੇ ਇਕ ਪੋਸਟ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ “ਸਰਦਾਰ ਆਫ਼ ਕਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਬਾਕਸ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ”। ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਟਵੀਟ ਵੀ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਿੱਧੂ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਬੀਐੱਲ ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੜਨਗੇ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਕੁਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਛੱਡਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਝੱਲਣਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਔਖੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਖਰੀ ਵਾਰ 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਕੁਮੈਂਟਰੀ
ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਇੱਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟਰ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਵਰਗਾ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਬਣੇ। ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ, ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ 1983 ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟਰ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੈਬਿਊ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਿੱਧੂ 1983 ਤੋਂ 1999 ਤੱਕ ਟੀਮ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਰਹੇ। ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚ ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਖੇਡਿਆ ਸੀ। ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਕੁੱਲ 51 ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚ ਅਤੇ 136 ਵਨਡੇ ਮੈਚ ਖੇਡੇ ਹਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਟੈਸਟ ‘ਚ 3202 ਅਤੇ ਵਨਡੇ ‘ਚ 4413 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਲਗਭਗ 17 ਸਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਜਗਤ ‘ਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 1999 ‘ਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਦਾ ਸਫਰ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੁਮੈਂਟਰੀ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਹੱਥ ਅਜ਼ਮਾਇਆ। ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਵਾਰ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਪੈਨਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਟੀਵੀ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
