ਖਤਰੇ ‘ਚ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਸਰਕਾਰ? ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ ਨੇ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਲਿਆ ਸਮਰਥਨ
ਡੈਸਕ- ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਡਿੱਗ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਐਨਡੀਪੀ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਜਗਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਲਿਬਰਲ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ’ਚ ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਲਿਬਰਲ ਦੀ ਘੱਟ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਐੱਨਡੀਪੀ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਐੱਨਡੀਪੀ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਸ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ’ਤੇ ਲਿਬਰਲ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਸਮਝੌਤੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਫਾਰਮਾ ਕੇਅਰ, ਡੈਂਟਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਜਿਹੇ ਐੱਨਡੀਪੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਲਿਬਰਲ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਤੇ ਐੱਨਡੀਪੀ ’ਚ ਮਾਰਚ 2022 ਨੂੰ ਸਾਇਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਜੂਨ 2025 ਤੱਕ ਸੀ। ਆਮ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ’ਚ ਹੋਣੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਜਗਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਲਿਬਰਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਲਾਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਲਿਬਰਲ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਸਰਦ ਰੁੱਤ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ’ਚ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਬਿੱਲ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਸ ’ਚ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਲਿਬਰਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਲੱਗ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਿੱਟੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੇ ਭਾਰ ਡਿੱਗ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਗਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਦਾਰਵਾਦੀ ਇੰਨੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ, ਇੰਨੇ ਸੁਆਰਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਟ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੰਨੇ ਨਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਲੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ। ਉਹ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆ ਸਕਦੇ, ਉਹ ਉਮੀਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਗਾ ਸਕਦੇ। ਜਗਮੀਤ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਈਓ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਵੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਖਤਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਨਿਊ ਡੈਮੋਕ੍ਰੇਟਿਕ ਪਾਰਟੀ (NDP) ਨੇ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਕੀਤਾ, 2025 ਦੇ ਅੱਧ ਤੱਕ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬਦਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ NDP ਨੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਫੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਨਵੰਬਰ 2015 ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਦੀ ਲੋਕਪ੍ਰਿਅਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਰਾਵਟ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪੋਲ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਵੋਟਰ ਉਸਦੀ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਕ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਐਨਡੀਪੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਆਪੀ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲਿਬਰਲਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਸਫਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਦਬਾਅ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਪਾਰਟੀ ਹਾਲੀਆ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਹੈ।
