ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ: ਟੀਮ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ‘ਚ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਟੀਮ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਖਰੀ ਟੀ-20 ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਖੇਡਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ 3 ਮੈਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਕੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਆਲਰਾਊਂਡਰ ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਪੰਡਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਆਰਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਆਲਰਾਊਂਡਰ ਸ਼ਾਹਬਾਜ਼ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਨੂੰ ਟੀਮ ‘ਚ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਡੈਬਿਊ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਵਿਰਾਟ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਰਾਇਲ ਚੈਲੇਂਜਰਜ਼ ਬੈਂਗਲੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਦੱਸਣਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ‘ਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਟੀ-20 ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਚ 2-1 ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
27 ਸਾਲਾ ਸ਼ਾਹਬਾਜ਼ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਵੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਸੰਦ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਕਲਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਸੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੂਲ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਾਹਬਾਜ਼ ਲਈ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣਾ ਆਸਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਦੋਸਤ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਣ ‘ਤੇ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਦਸੰਬਰ 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਲਈ ਖੇਡਣ ਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਸ਼ਾਹਬਾਜ਼ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ 2022 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਿਲਾਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਇਲ ਚੈਲੇਂਜਰਜ਼ ਬੰਗਲੌਰ ਨੇ 2.40 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੂਲ ਕੀਮਤ 20 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਸੀ। ਯਾਨੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ 10 ਗੁਣਾ ਮਹਿੰਗੇ ਮੁੱਲ ‘ਤੇ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ। ਆਈਪੀਐਲ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਸਨੇ 16 ਮੈਚਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 27 ਦੀ ਔਸਤ ਨਾਲ 219 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ। 45 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਪਾਰੀ ਖੇਡੀ ਗਈ। ਸਟ੍ਰਾਈਕ ਰੇਟ 121 ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਇਸ ਖੱਬੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਸਪਿਨਰ ਨੇ 4 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਵੀ ਲਈਆਂ। ਟੀਮ ਟੀ-20 ਲੀਗ ‘ਚ ਪਲੇਆਫ ‘ਚ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਟੀ-20 ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ‘ਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਮਾਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ 56 ਮੈਚਾਂ ‘ਚ 20 ਦੀ ਔਸਤ ਨਾਲ 512 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਨਾਬਾਦ 60 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਪਾਰੀ ਖੇਡੀ ਅਤੇ 30 ਦੀ ਔਸਤ ਨਾਲ 30 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ। 7 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੇ 3 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੈ।
