NRI PAN Card: ਇਨਕਮ ਟੈਕਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗੈਰ-ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ (ਐਨ.ਆਰ.ਆਈ.) ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਥਾਈ ਖਾਤਾ ਨੰਬਰ (ਪੈਨ) ਆਧਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਲਿੰਕ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਕਿਰਿਆਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਚਾਲੂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਬੂਤ, ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਪਤਾ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਮ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ/ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੂਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ (ਓਸੀਆਈ) ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਨ ਦੇ ਅਕਿਰਿਆਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੋਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਾਵਾਂ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਟਵਿੱਟਰ ‘ਤੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਐਨਆਰਆਈ ਨੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਆਈਟੀਆਰ ਫਾਈਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ (ਜੇਏਓ) ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਸੰਦਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਪੈਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਿਰਿਆਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਐਨਆਰਆਈ ਨੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਡੇਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਰਿਟਰਨ (ਆਈਟੀਆਰ) ਫਾਈਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਨਕਮ ਟੈਕਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਟਵਿੱਟਰ ‘ਤੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ”ਪ੍ਰਵਾਸੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੈਨ ਅਕਿਰਿਆਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪੈਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਡੇਟ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ।” ਆਪਣੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਾਓ।
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਪੈਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਧਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਲਿੰਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਨਕਮ ਟੈਕਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀਮਾ ਤੈਅ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਧਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਲਿੰਕ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਫਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਿਛਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਪੈਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਧਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਲਿੰਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ 30 ਜੂਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀਮਾ ਤੈਅ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਮਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੈਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਧਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਲਿੰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ‘ਚ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਸੀ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਧਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਲਿੰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
