ਲੰਬੀ ਰੈਲੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੰਧੂ ਦਾ ਦਬਦਬਾ ਵੀ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਮੀਆ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਛੋਟੀਆਂ ਗਲਤੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਉਸਨੇ ਸਿੰਧੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਚੁਟਕੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕਈ ਸ਼ਾਟ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਦਬਾਅ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਿੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਮੀਆ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦੋ ਅੰਕ ਗੁਆਏ ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਚਾਰ ਅੰਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ 4-2 ਦੀ ਬੜ੍ਹਤ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ।
ਮੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਧੂ ਦੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣਾ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਿੰਧੂ ਦੀ ਬੜ੍ਹਤ 8-4 ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਟ ਵੀ ਲਗਾਏ। ਸਿੰਧੂ ਬਰੇਕ ‘ਤੇ 11-6 ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗੇ ਸੀ। ਸਿੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੜ੍ਹਤ 13-6 ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਪਰ ਮੀਆ ਨੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਪੰਜ ਅੰਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਕੋਰ 11-13 ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਿੰਧੂ ਨੇ 16-12 ਦੀ ਬੜ੍ਹਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਮੀਆ ਨੇ ਸਕੋਰ 15-16 ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਚਕਮਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਡਰਾਪ ਸ਼ਾਟਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਲੀਡ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ ਇਕ ਬਿੰਦੂ ਤੱਕ ਸੀਮਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
