ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ 24 ਸਾਲਾ ਸਪਿਨਰ ਅਬਰਾਰ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਨੇ ਟੈਸਟ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ‘ਚ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੀ ਸਨਸਨੀ ਮਚਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਡੈਬਿਊ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਗਾਲ ਟੈਸਟ ‘ਚ 6 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਬਰਾਰ ਨੇ ਕੋਲੰਬੋ ‘ਚ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ ਵੀ 4 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਸਨ।
ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦੇ ਦੌਰੇ ‘ਤੇ ਹੈ। ਦੋ ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ 166 ਦੌੜਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਢੇਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ‘ਚ 24 ਸਾਲਾ ਸਪਿਨਰ ਅਬਰਾਰ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। 4 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਸਪਿਨਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਕੋਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਟਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਅਬਰਾਰ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਟੈਸਟ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਧਮਾਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ 6 ਮੈਚਾਂ ‘ਚ ਕੁੱਲ 38 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਅਬਰਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ‘ਤੇ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਮੁਲਤਾਨ ਟੈਸਟ ‘ਚ ਟੈਸਟ ਡੈਬਿਊ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ।
ਅਬਰਾਰ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਨੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਦਸੰਬਰ ‘ਚ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਮੁਲਤਾਨ ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਡੈਬਿਊ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ ਕੁੱਲ 7 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਦੂਜੀ ਪਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ 4 ਇੰਗਲਿਸ਼ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਬਦਬਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਕਰਾਚੀ ‘ਚ ਖੇਡੇ ਗਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਅਬਰਾਰ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਨੇ ਇੰਗਲਿਸ਼ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਫੀ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ 4 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਸਨ, ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ ਦੋ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਡੈਬਿਊ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਚ 17 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਸਨ।
ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਟੈਸਟ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਕਰਿਸ਼ਮਾ ਦੁਹਰਾਇਆ। ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ ਇਸ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ ਨੇ 5 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਜਦਕਿ ਦੂਜੀ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ 3 ਓਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ‘ਚ 1 ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਦੂਜੇ ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ ਅਬਰਾਰ ਨੇ 4 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਜਦਕਿ ਦੂਜੀ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ 1 ਵਿਕਟ ਲਈ।
ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਟੈਸਟ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਬਰਾਰ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਦੌਰੇ ‘ਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ‘ਚ ਖੇਡਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਪਹਿਲੇ ਮੈਚ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ ਇਸ ਸਪਿਨਰ ਨੇ 3 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਇੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ।
