ਪਰਵੀਨ ਇੱਕ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੀ
ਪਰਵੀਨ ਬਾਬੀ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 4 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 1949 ਨੂੰ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਜੂਨਾਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪਠਾਨ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰਵੀਨ ਬਾਬੀ ਇੱਕ ਅਮੀਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੂਨਾਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਨਵਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਮਾਡਲਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ‘ਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਪਰਵੀਨ ਬਾਬੀ ਨੇ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ‘ਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਲਦੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ 70 ਦੇ ਦਹਾਕੇ ਦੀ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਗਰਲ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਉਭਰੀ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਪਰਵੀਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ 1973 ‘ਚ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ’ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਅਮਿਤਾਭ ਦੀ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਮਜਬੂਰ’ ਨਾਲ ਸਟਾਰ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਸੀ।

ਪਰਵੀਨ ਬਾਬੀ ਦੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਟਾਈਮ ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨ ਨੇ 1976 ‘ਚ ਪਰਵੀਨ ਬਾਬੀ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਵਰ ਪੇਜ ‘ਤੇ ਛਾਪੀ ਸੀ। ਪਰਵੀਨ ਬਾਬੀ ਨੇ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀਰੋਇਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਦਰਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਹੀਰੋਇਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਵਾਰ-ਸੂਟ ਅਤੇ ਸਾੜ੍ਹੀ ਪਹਿਨ ਕੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਪਰ ਬਾਬੀ ਨੇ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਮੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਪਛਾਣ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਸ਼ਾਈਜ਼ੋਫਰੀਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ
ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, 1980 ਵਿੱਚ, ਪਰਵੀਨ ਬਾਬੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਦੌਰੇ ‘ਤੇ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਦਲ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਏ ਸਨ। ਇੰਨਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਇਕ ਫਿਲਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਰੇ ‘ਚ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਮਿਤਾਭ ਉਸ ‘ਤੇ ਚਾਕੂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
ਗੁਮਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ
ਆਪਣੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਰਵੀਨ ਬਾਬੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁੰਮਨਾਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ 22 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2005 ਨੂੰ ਪਰਵੀਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਪਾਈ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਲਾਸ਼ ਸੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲੀ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਈ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਪੋਸਟਮਾਰਟਮ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ‘ਚ ਖੁਲਾਸਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਵੀਨ ਬਾਬੀ ਨੇ 3 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਧਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਕਈ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
