ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ‘ਚ PM ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ, ਕੀਤਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ
ਡੈਸਕ- ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੌਰੇ ‘ਤੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਜੋਅ ਬਾਈਡਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪੀਐਮ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਪੀਐਮ ਮੋਦੀ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਸਿੱਖ ਆਫ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਜਸਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੱਸੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋਇਆ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ‘ਜੋ ਬੋਲੇ ਸੋ ਨਿਹਾਲ’ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਗੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਵੀ ‘ਸਤਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ’ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੀਐਮ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਹੋਈ।
ਜਸਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ 1984 ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਦੰਗਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਲਈ ਇੰਨਾ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ 550ਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਪੁਰਬ ਦੇ 500 ਸਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਪੁਰਬ ਮਨਾਉਣ, ਕਾਲੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਧੀਨ 1984 ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਕਤਲੇਆਮ ਦੇ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਸਕਾਨਸਿਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਘੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਆਗੂ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਪੀਐਮ ਮੋਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜਸਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਅਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਵਫ਼ਦ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਲੋਂਗ ਆਈਲੈਂਡ, ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
