60 ਤੋਂ 90 ਦੇ ਦਹਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਸਿਤਾਰੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਅੱਜ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆ ‘ਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਮ ‘ਤੇ ਉਹ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ‘ਚ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ‘ਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਨਾਂ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਮ ‘ਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪ੍ਰਾਣ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀਰੋ-ਹੀਰੋਇਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹੀਂ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਖਲਨਾਇਕ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਿਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਇੰਨਾ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਭਿਆਨਕ ਖਲਨਾਇਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਣਕੀ ਦੀ ਅੱਜ 9ਵੀਂ ਬਰਸੀ ਹੈ ਯਾਨੀ 12 ਜੁਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ 2013 ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ‘ਚ ਆਓ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੁਝ ਖਾਸ ਗੱਲਾਂ।
ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਫੋਟੋਗ੍ਰਾਫਰ ਬਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ
ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 12 ਫਰਵਰੀ 1920 ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਬੱਲੀਮਾਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨੇਕ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਲਾਲਾ ਕੇਵਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਿਕੰਦ, ਪੇਸ਼ੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਵਲ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰ ਸਨ, ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਠੇਕਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਫੋਟੋਗ੍ਰਾਫਰ ਬਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ, ਉਸਨੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਕੰਪਨੀ ‘ਏ ਦਾਸ ਐਂਡ ਕੰਪਨੀ’ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹੈਂਡੀਮੈਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਮਰੀਨ ਡਰਾਈਵ ‘ਤੇ 8 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ
ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਨੇ 1942 ਤੋਂ 1946 ਤੱਕ ਪੂਰੇ 4 ਸਾਲ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ 22 ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜਦੋਂ ਭਾਰਤ-ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜੇ। ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ‘ਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਬ੍ਰੇਕ 1942 ‘ਚ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਖਾਨਦਾਨ ‘ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਚ ਅਭਿਨੇਤਰੀ ਨੂਰ ਜਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਫਿਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਸਾਹਬ ਨੇ ਮਰੀਨ ਡਰਾਈਵ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਟਲ ਵਿੱਚ 8 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਪਿਆਰ ਮਿਲਿਆ
ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਅਮਿਤਾਭ ਬੱਚਨ ਦੇ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਦਾ ਟਰਨਿੰਗ ਪੁਆਇੰਟ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਈ ਜੰਜੀਰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। 2001 ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਸਨੂੰ ਪਦਮ ਭੂਸ਼ਣ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਦਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਫਾਲਕੇ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਵੀ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਅਦਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਆਰ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਉਸਨੇ ਕਈ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਰੋਲ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮਨੋਜ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਉਪਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਲੰਗ ਚਾਚਾ ਦਾ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇੱਕ ਫਿਲਮ ਲਈ 5 ਤੋਂ 10 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸਨ
ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ 1960 ਤੋਂ 70 ਦੇ ਦਹਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਲਈ 5 ਤੋਂ 10 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਜ਼ਮਾਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਖਲਨਾਇਕ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਫੀਸ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਸੀ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਰਾਜੇਸ਼ ਖੰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਕਪੂਰ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਫੀਸ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
