ਸੇਂਟ ਫਰਾਂਸਿਸ ਚਰਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਯੂਰਪੀਅਨ ਚਰਚ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕੋਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਇਸ ਚਰਚ ‘ਚ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਪੁਰਤਗਾਲੀ ਮਲਾਹ ਵਾਸਕੋ ਡੀ ਗਾਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਫਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਚਰਚ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ 1503 ਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਲੱਕੜ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸਥਿਤ ਸੀ। ਪਰ 1516 ਵਿੱਚ ਚਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਤਗਾਲ ਦੇ ਸਰਪ੍ਰਸਤ ਸੰਤ ਸੈਂਟੋ ਐਂਟੋਨੀਓ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਚਰਚ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸੈਂਟੋ ਐਂਟੋਨੀਓ ਚਰਚ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ।

ਸੇਂਟ ਫਿਲੋਮੇਨਾ ਚਰਚ ਮੈਸੂਰ, ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਚਰਚ ਲਗਭਗ 200 ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਿਓ-ਗੌਥਿਕ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਚਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਂਟ ਜੋਸੇਫ ਚਰਚ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਚਰਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਚਰਚਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਟਾਵਰ 175 ਫੁੱਟ ਉੱਚੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸੇਂਟ ਫਿਲੋਮੇਨਾ ਚਰਚ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਪੁਨਰ ਜਨਮ ਤੱਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੱਚ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗਾਂ ਵੀ ਹਨ।
ਆਲ ਸੇਂਟਸ ਕੈਥੇਡ੍ਰਲ ਚਰਚ, ਇਲਾਹਾਬਾਦ
ਆਲ ਸੇਂਟਸ ਕੈਥੇਡ੍ਰਲ ਚਰਚ 19ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਚਰਚ ਗੌਥਿਕ ਆਰਕੀਟੈਕਚਰ ਦਾ ਵਧੀਆ ਨਮੂਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਚਰਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਲੰਬਾਈ 240 ਫੁੱਟ ਅਤੇ ਚੌੜਾਈ 56 ਫੁੱਟ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਹਾਲ 40 ਫੁੱਟ ਚੌੜਾ ਅਤੇ 130 ਫੁੱਟ ਲੰਬਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰੀਬ 300 ਤੋਂ 400 ਲੋਕ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਚਰਚ ਵਿਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਟਾਵਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਟਾਵਰ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਣੀ ਵਿਕਟੋਰੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੈ।
ਪਰੁਮਾਲਾ ਚਰਚ, ਕੇਰਲਾ
