Prithviraj Kapoor Birth Anniversary: ਹਿੰਦੀ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਰੰਗਮੰਚ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੱਦ ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਮੂਕ ਫ਼ਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਰੰਗੀਨ ਫ਼ਿਲਮਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਦਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਤੈਅ ਕੀਤਾ। ਦੁਨੀਆ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਥੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਕਪੂਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਇਸ ਦਿੱਗਜ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ। 3 ਨਵੰਬਰ, 1906 ਨੂੰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ (ਹੁਣ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ) ‘ਚ ਜਨਮੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ‘ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰੈਂਡ ਫਾਦਰ’ ਦੇ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੂਕ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ
ਅੱਜ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਦੇ ‘ਯੁਗਪੁਰਸ਼’ ਦਾ ਜਨਮਦਿਨ ਹੈ, ਪਿਸ਼ਾਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਨਾਲ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਕਪੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੇ। 1928 ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਆ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਕਪੂਰ ਇੰਪੀਰੀਅਲ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਇੰਪੀਰੀਅਲ ਫਿਲਮ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਤਨਖਾਹ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਧੂ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਾਲ 1931 ‘ਚ ਆਈ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਅਲਮਾਰਾ’ ‘ਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 24 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ‘ਚ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਬੁੱਢੇ ਤੱਕ ਦਾ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 9 ਮੂਕ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ‘ਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਆਲਮ ਆਰਾ’ ‘ਚ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ‘ਚ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਏ।
1944 ਵਿੱਚ, ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਨੇ ‘ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਥੀਏਟਰ’ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਰੱਖੀ।
1941 ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਹਰਾਬ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ‘ਸਿਕੰਦਰ’ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। 1960 ‘ਚ ‘ਮੁਗਲ-ਏ-ਆਜ਼ਮ’ ‘ਚ ਅਕਬਰ ਦਾ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਨਿਭਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਕਾਇਮ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸਾਲ 1944 ਵਿੱਚ, ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੇ ‘ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਥੀਏਟਰ’ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਰੱਖੀ, ਜੋ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਦਾ ਮੋਢੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਕਪੂਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਗਲ ਆਜ਼ਮ, ਹਰੀਸ਼ਚੰਦਰ ਤਾਰਾਮਤੀ, ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਆਜ਼ਮ, ਆਸਮਾਨ, ਮਹਿਲ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕੁਝ ਸਫਲ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਹੋਈਆਂ। ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਖਰੀ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਪੂਰ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਰਾ (1951), ਕਲ ਆਜ ਕਲ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਪੂਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਅਭਿਨੈ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਕਈ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ
ਫਿਲਮ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ, ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ 1969 ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਦਮ ਭੂਸ਼ਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ 1972 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਲਮ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦਾਦਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਫਾਲਕੇ ਐਵਾਰਡ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਹਿੰਦੀ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਭਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਰਾਜ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੇ 29 ਮਈ 1972 ਨੂੰ 65 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
