Punjab Coronavirus: 1,062 New Cases, 38 Deaths in last 24 hours

CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 5: Punjab recorded 1,062 new cases of coronavirus or COVID-19, taking the state tally to 119186, according to the media bulletin on Monday.

Punjab’s all 22 district reported coronavirus cases.

Of the 1,062 cases, 178 were reported from Amritsar; 156 from Ludhiana; 98 from Jalandhar; 70 from Bathinda; 64 from Hoshiarpur; 61 from Kapurthala; 56 from Gurdaspur; 50 from Fazilka; 47 from Ferozepur; 46 from Pathankot; 41 from Patiala; 40 from SAS Nagar; 31 from SBS Nagar; 28 from Muktsar; 23 from Faridkot; 12 from Sangrur; 14 from Tarn Taran; 13 from Mansa; 11 from Barnala; 9 from Fatehgarh Sahib; 8 from Ropar; and 6 from Moga.

With 38 more deaths, the state’s death toll due to COVID-19 has climbed to 3,641.

Punjab has currently 12,897 active cases of coronavirus, says the bulletin.

Meanwhile, 1,671 more patients recovered and were discharged today, taking the recovery rate to 1,02,648.
