Punjab Coronavirus: 1,100 New Cases, 75 Deaths in last 24 hours

CHANDIGARH, SEPTEMBER 29: Punjab recorded 1,100 positive cases of coronavirus or COVID-19, taking the state tally to 1,12,460, according to the media bulletin on Tuesday.

Punjab’s all 22 district reported coronavirus cases.

Of the 1,100 cases, 180 were reported from Ludhiana; 145 from Jalandhar; 109 from SAS Nagar; 95 from Amritsar; 71 from Patiala; 62 from Gurdaspur; 55 each from Kapurthala and Bathinda; 50 from Hoshiarpur; 47 from Tarn Taran; 43 from Muktsar; 28 each from Ropar and Faridkot; 25 from Fazilka; 20 from Sangrur; 18 from Fatehgarh Sahib; 16 from Moga; 12 from Barnala; 13 from Mansa; 11 from SBS Nagar; 9 from Pathankot; and 8 from Ferozepur.

With 75 more deaths, the state’s death toll due to COVID-19 has climbed to 3,359.

Punjab has currently 16,824 active cases of coronavirus, says the bulletin.

Meanwhile, 1,932 more patients recovered and were discharged today, taking the recovery rate to 92,277.
