Punjab Coronavirus: 1,317 New Cases, 45 Deaths in last 24 hours

CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 1: Punjab recorded 1,317 positive cases of coronavirus or COVID-19, taking the state tally to 1,15,151, according to the media bulletin on Thursday. With 45 more deaths, the state’s death toll due to COVID-19 has climbed to 3,451.

Punjab’s all 22 district reported coronavirus cases.

Of the 1,317 cases, 166 were reported from SAS Nagar; 157 from Amritsar; 149 from Jalandhar; 129 from Ludhiana; 110 from Hoshiarpur; 90 from Gurdaspur; 71 from Patiala; 62 from Bathinda; 57 from Kapurthala; 53 from Ferozepur; 52 from Pathankot; 38 from Fazilka; 34 from Muktsar; 27 from Sangrur; 22 each from Moga and SBS Nagar; 21 from Tarn Taran; 19 from Ropar; 16 from Fatehgarh Sahib; 11 from Faridkot; 9 from Barnala; and 2 from Mansa.

Punjab has currently 15,763 active cases of coronavirus, says the bulletin.

Meanwhile, 2,271 more patients recovered and were discharged today, taking the recovery rate to 95,937.
