Punjab Coronavirus: 549 New Cases, 31 Deaths in last 24 hours

CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 14: Punjab recorded 549 positive cases of coronavirus or COVID-19, taking the state tally to 1,25,760, according to the media bulletin on Wednesday.

Punjab’s all 22 district reported coronavirus cases.

Of the 549 cases, 68 cases were reported from Bathinda; 64 from Ludhiana; 51 from Patiala; 47 from Hoshiarpur, 37 from Jalandhar; 32 from Kapurthala; 31 each from Pathankot and Gurdaspur; 23 from Muktsar; 22 each from Amritsar and SAS Nagar; 17 from Ropar; 16 from Fazilka; 15 each from Fatehgarh Sahib and Faridkot; 11 from Mansa; 10 each from Barnala, Tarn Taran and Sangrur; 7 from Moga; 6 from Ferozepur; and 4 from SBS Nagar.

With 31 more deaths, the state’s death toll due to COVID-19 has climbed to 3,925.

Punjab has currently 7,760 active cases of coronavirus, says the bulletin.

Meanwhile, 970 more patients recovered and were discharged today, taking the recoveries to 1,14,075.
