Punjab Coronavirus: 829 New Cases, 35 Deaths in last 24 hours

CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 9: Punjab recorded 829 positive cases of coronavirus or COVID-19, taking the state tally to 1,22,459, according to the media bulletin on Friday.

Punjab’s all 22 district reported coronavirus cases.

Of the 829 cases, 103 cases were reported from Jalandhar; 98 from Ludhiana; 94 from Amritsar; 77 from SAS Nagar; 59 from Hoshiarpur; 49 from Patiala; 47 from Bathinda; 39 from Kapurthala; 34 each from Pathankot and Tarn Taran; 32 from Fazilka; 26 from Moga; 23 each from Mansa and Ferozepur; 22 from Muktsar; 16 from Faridkot; 14 from SBS Nagar; 11 from Gurdaspur; 10 from Sangrur; 8 from Fatehgarh Sahib; 6 from Barnala; and 4 from Ropar.

With 35 more deaths, the state’s death toll due to COVID-19 has climbed to 3,773.

Punjab has currently 10,153 active cases of coronavirus, says the bulletin.

Meanwhile, 1,333 more patients recovered and were discharged today, taking the recovery rate to 1,08,533.
