CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 7: Punjab recorded 852 positive cases of coronavirus or COVID-19, taking the state tally to 1,20,860, according to the media bulletin on Wednesday.
Six COVID deaths were reported from Ludhiana; five each from Jalandhar and Bathinda; three from Amritsar; two each from Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Fatehgarh Sahib, Muktsar and Ropar; and one each from Sangrur, Kapurthala, Fazilka and SBS Nagar, said a health department medical bulletin.
Of the 852 cases, 120 cases were reported from Jalandhar; 114 from Ludhiana; 92 from Amritsar; 62 from Mohali, among others.
With 33 more deaths, the state’s death toll due to COVID-19 has climbed to 3,712.
Punjab has currently 11,982 active cases of coronavirus, says the bulletin.
Meanwhile, 1,230 more patients recovered and were discharged today, taking the recovery toll to 1,05,585.
