ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ- ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਰ ਲੀਗ (ਆਈਪੀਐਲ 2025) ਲਈ ਜੇਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਨਿਲਾਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ, ਮੁੰਬਈ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਸੂਰਯਾਂਸ਼ ਸ਼ੈਡਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ (ਪੀਬੀਕੇਐਸ) ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਬੇਸ ਕੀਮਤ ‘ਤੇ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਸ਼ੈਡਗੇ ਵਿਚ ਦੂਜੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਲੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੈਡਗੇ ਦੀ ਅਸਲ ਪਛਾਣ ਸਿਰਫ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਲਾਮੀ ਦੇ 17 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਸ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕਰ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਿਉਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ?
ਘਰੇਲੂ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਲਈ ਖੇਡਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ੈਡਗੇ ਨੇ ਸਈਅਦ ਮੁਸ਼ਤਾਕ ਅਲੀ ਟਰਾਫੀ (SMAT 2024) ਦੇ ਕੁਆਰਟਰ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 12 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 36 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਦਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਮੈਚ ਫਿਨਿਸ਼ਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਅਲੂਰ ‘ਚ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਰਭ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਖੇਡੇ ਗਏ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਨੂੰ 222 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ੈਡਗੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ ਓਪਨਿੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਜਿੰਕਿਆ ਰਹਾਣੇ (84 ਦੌੜਾਂ, ਸਿਰਫ 45 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ‘ਤੇ) ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਅ (49 ਦੌੜਾਂ, ਸਿਰਫ 26 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ) ਨੇ ਟੀਮ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਆਧਾਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਮੱਧਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਅਸ ਅਈਅਰ (5) ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਿਆਕੁਮਾਰ ਯਾਦਵ (9) ਫਲਾਪ ਰਹੇ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸ਼ਿਵਮ ਦੂਬੇ ਨੇ 22 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਅਜੇਤੂ 37 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਧਮਾਕੇ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਖੁਦ ਸ਼ੈਡਗੇ ਨੇ ਲਈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 12 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਾਰੀ ‘ਚ 1 ਚੌਕਾ ਅਤੇ 4 ਛੱਕੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਅਜੇਤੂ 36 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਬੜ੍ਹਤ ਦਿਵਾਈ । 4 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਬਾਕੀ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸੈਮੀਫਾਈਨਲ ਲਈ ਟਿਕਟ ਮਿਲੀ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸ਼ੈਡਗੇ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ‘ਚ ਰਾਊਂਡ ਆਫ 16 ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਜੌਹਰ ਦਿਖਾ ਕੇ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਆਂਧਰਾ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ 8 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜੇਤੂ 30 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਲਈ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਯੋਗੀ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਇਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਨੇ 200 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਟੀਚਾ ਸਫਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸੈਮੀਫਾਈਨਲ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਈਨਲ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਆਈਪੀਐੱਲ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਦੀ ਪਲੇਇੰਗ ਇਲੈਵਨ ‘ਚ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਬਣਾ ਸਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਚ ਫਿਨਿਸ਼ਰ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾ ਸਕੇ।
