Punjab records 38 COVID-19 Deaths; 888 New Cases in last 24 hours

CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 6: With 888 new coronavirus (or COVID-19) cases and 38 more deaths in Punjab in the last 24 hours, the state’s cases count has reached 1,20,016 and death toll to 3,679, according to media health bulletin on Tuesday.

According to state’s COVID bulletin, 147 cases were reported from Bathinda; 113 from Jalandhar; 87 from Amritsar; 80 from Ludhiana; 72 from Hoshiarpur; 55 from Patiala; 48 from SAS Nagar; 47 from Ropar;31 from Gurdaspur; 29 from SBS Nagar; 25 from Ferozepur; 24 from Muktsar; 23 from Kapurthala; 20 from Sangrur; 15 from Mansa; 14 each from Fazilka and Faridkot; 13 each from Pathankot and Moga; 8 from Tarn Taran; 7 from Fatehgarh Sahib; and 3 from Barnala.

The sources of 31 positive cases of coronavirus were out of Punjab.

There are 11,982 active cases of coronavirus in the state, says the bulletin.

Meanwhile, 1,707 more patients cured and were discharged, taking the state’s recovery toll to 1,04,355.
