Punjab reports 29 COVID-19 Deaths; 930 New Cases in last 24 hours

CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 8: With 930 new coronavirus (or COVID-19) cases and 29 more deaths in Punjab in the last 24 hours, the state’s cases count has reached 1,21,716 and death toll to 3,741, according to media health bulletin on Thursday.

According to state’s COVID bulletin, 155 cases were reported from SAS Nagar; 122 from Jalandhar; 100 from Amritsar; 89 from Ludhiana; 60 from Gurdaspur; 49 from Ferozepur; 47 from Patiala; 46 from Hoshiarpur; 40 from Bathinda; 32 from Kapurthala; 23 from Fazilka; 22 each from Faridkot and Sangrur; 20 from Pathankot; 18 from Tarn Taran; 16 each from Mansa and Barnala; 15 from Fatehgarh Sahib; 7 from Muktsar; and 4 from Moga.According to state’s COVID bulletin, 155 cases were reported from SAS Nagar; 122 from Jalandhar; 100 from Amritsar; 89 from Ludhiana; 60 from Gurdaspur; 49 from Ferozepur; 47 from Patiala; 46 from Hoshiarpur; 40 from Bathinda; 32 from Kapurthala; 23 each from Ropar and Fazilka; 22 each from Faridkot and Sangrur; 20 from Pathankot; 18 from Tarn Taran; 16 each from Mansa and Barnala; 15 from Fatehgarh Sahib; 7 from Muktsar; and 4 each from Moga and SBS Nagar.

There are 10,775 active cases of coronavirus in the state, says the bulletin.

Meanwhile, 1,615 more patients cured and were discharged, taking the state’s recovery toll to 1,07,200.
