Punjab Reports 46 COVID-19 Deaths; 1,271 New Cases In Last 24 Hours

CHANDIGARH, SEPTEMBER 28: With 1,271 new coronavirus (or COVID-19) cases and 46 more deaths in Punjab in the last 24 hours, the state’s cases count has reached 1,11,375 and death toll to 3,284 respectively, according to media health bulletin on Friday.

Punjab’s all 22 district reported COVID-19 or coronavirus cases.

According to state’s COVID bulletin, 180 cases were reported from Amritsar; 138 from Ludhiana; 127 from SAS Nagar; 101 from Jalandhar; 88 from Gurdaspur; 79 from Pathankot; 76 from Patiala; 72 from Hoshiarpur; 62 from Bathinda; 49 from Kapurthala; 37 from Faridkot; 36 from Ropar; 33 from SBS Nagar; 30 from Moga; 27 from Sangrur; 23 from Fatehgarh Sahib; 22 from Mansa; 19 from Ferozepur; and 18 each from Muktsar, Barnala, Tarn Taran and Fazilka.

The sources of 5 positive cases of coronavirus were out of Punjab.

There are 17,746 active cases of coronavirus in the state, says the bulletin.

Meanwhile, 2,033 more patients cured and were discharged, taking the state’s recovery toll to 90,345.
