ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲਾ ਕਿਸਨੇ ਬਣਾਇਆ?
ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸ਼ਾਹਜਹਾਂ ਨੇ 1638 ਈ. ਇਹ ਕਿਲਾ ਯੂਨੈਸਕੋ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਹਜਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਆਗਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸਨੇ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਹ ਕਿਲਾ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਤਿੰਨ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਘਿਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਕਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ 1638 ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ 1648 ਈ: ਤੱਕ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਿਹਾ।ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ 10 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ‘ਚ ਕਰੀਬ 10 ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਲੱਗਾ। ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਹਜਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਘੱਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਣ ਲੱਗੀ। ਸਾਲ 2007 ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂਨੈਸਕੋ ਨੇ ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਜਾਣੋ ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲੇ ਦੀ ਬਣਤਰ ਬਾਰੇ
ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲਾ ਲਾਲ ਰੇਤਲੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਸੰਗਮਰਮਰ ਦੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਸਮੇਂ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਰਤਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ‘ਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਹ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਹੀਰੇ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਗਏ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਸਮਾਰਕ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ 30 ਮੀਟਰ ਉੱਚੀ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਨੱਕਾਸ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਤੁਰਕੀਏ ਤੋਂ ਮਖਮਲ ਅਤੇ ਚੀਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੇਸ਼ਮ ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਸ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਖਰਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰ ਹਨ। ਇੱਕ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਗੇਟ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਗੇਟ। ਲਾਹੌਰ ਗੇਟ ਆਮ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਗੇਟ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਲਈ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲਾਲ ਰੇਤ ਦੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲਾ ਪਿਆ। ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਬਾਈ 2.5 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਹੈ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਲਾ-ਏ-ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਣ ਲੱਗਾ।
