ਪੀਸੀਬੀ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਤ ‘ਤੇ ਆਈਏਐਨਐਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ‘ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਲਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਖੇਡ ਲਈ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਵੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।’ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਫਿਰ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਦਘਾਟਨੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੇਜ ਰਿਹਾ। ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਖ਼ਬਰਾਂ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਰਸੀ ‘ਤੇ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ (ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ) ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਪ੍ਰੀਸ਼ਦ (ICC) ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
