ਡੈਸਕ- ਭੁਲੱਥ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਸੁਖਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਹਿਰਾ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਹਾਈਕੋਰਟ ਦਾ ਰੁਖ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਮਾਰਚ 2015 ਵਿਚ ਦਰਜ ਇਕ ਐੱਫਆਈਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਮਲਾ ਆਰਮਸ ਐਕਟ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ NDPS ਤਹਿਤ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਖਹਿਰਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ-ਮਾਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਤੀਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਲੋਕ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਅਸਿੱਧੇ, ਸਿਆਸੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ, ਬਦਨੀਤੀ, ਅਸੰਗਤ ਅਤੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਖਹਿਰਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਾਈਕੋਰਟ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ 2017 ਵਿਚ ਸੁਪੀਰਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਵਧੀਕ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਤਲਬ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਟ੍ਰਾਇਲ ਕੋਰਟ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ‘ਤੇ ਰੋਕ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 2015 ਦੇ ਡਰੱਗ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਮਨੀ ਲਾਂਡਰਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ ਵਿਚ 2021 ਵਿਚ ਈਡੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। 2022 ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਤ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ। ਫਰਵਰੀ 2023 ਵਿਚ ਚੋਟੀ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਡਰੱਗਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਸੰਮਨ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੁਣ 28 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਥਿਤ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਜਸਟਿਸ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਬਹਿਲ ਕੋਲ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ ਲਈ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਕੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਸਟਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਜਸਟਿਸ ਬਹਿਲ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਕ ਵਕੀਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਹ ਇਕ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਕੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਖਹਿਰਾ ਜਵਾਬਦੇਹ ਸਨ।
