ਮਿਸਟਰ 360 ਡਿਗਰੀ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਇਨ੍ਹੀਂ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਕੋਇੰਬਟੂਰ ‘ਚ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੰਬਈ ‘ਚ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇੱਥੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਇੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਫੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਮੁੜ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਟੈਸਟ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸੀ)। ਮੈਂ ਭਾਰਤ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਟੈਸਟ ਡੈਬਿਊ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਦਾ ਹੱਕਦਾਰ ਹੈ।

ਇਕ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਸੂਰਿਆ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਖੇਡਣਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਦ ਖੇਡਾਂਗਾ। ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਬੁਚੀ ਬਾਬੂ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਦਲੀਪ ਟਰਾਫੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡਣਾ, ਫਿਰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਹਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ 10 ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚ ਖੇਡਣੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਲਾਲ ਗੇਂਦ ਦੇ ਰੋਮਾਂਚ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਤਸੁਕ ਹਾਂ।
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਸੂਰਿਆਕੁਮਾਰ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੇ ਦਲੀਪ ਟਰਾਫੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਫਰਸਟ ਕਲਾਸ ਮੈਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੇਡਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਵਾਰ 13 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਲਾਲ ਗੇਂਦ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਖੇਡੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਰਮਨੀ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਮਰ ਦੀ ਸੱਟ ਦੀ ਸਰਜਰੀ ਕਰਵਾਈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਰਹੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਵਨਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਰਹੇ।
ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ 2024 ਦਾ ਖਿਤਾਬ
ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ 2024 ਦਾ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਫਾਰਮੈਟ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੂਰਿਆਕੁਮਾਰ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੂੰ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ਸੌਂਪੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਪੰਡਯਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੌੜ ‘ਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ‘ਚ ਭਾਰਤ 2022 ਦੇ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਤੋਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਇਸ ਫਾਰਮੈਟ ‘ਚ ਖੇਡ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ‘ਚ ਉਪ-ਕਪਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ‘ਚ ਖੇਡ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
