ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੂਸੇਵਾਲਾ ਨੇ 29 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਸਾ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਰੀ ਸਾਹ ਲਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਹਥਿਆਰਬੰਦ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਥਾਰ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਗਾਇਕ ਦੀ ਬੇਵਕਤੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਖਬਰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਸਦਮੇ ‘ਚ ਰਹਿ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

ਵੈਸਟਰਨ ਮਿਊਜ਼ਿਕ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਜਾਂ ਪਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ, ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਰੂਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੂਸੇਵਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ‘ਤੇ ਸੋਗ ਨਾ ਜਤਾਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ। “ਇੱਕ ਯੁੱਗ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ” ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੂਸੇਵਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਯੁੱਗ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਹੋਇਆ।
