22 ਜੂਨ, 1976 ਨੂੰ ਚੇਨਈ, ਤਮਿਲਨਾਡੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਮੇ ਵਿਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਦਾ ਮੋਹਤਾਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ , ਵਿਜੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਐਸਏ ਚੰਦਰਸ਼ੇਖਰ ਕੋਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਹਨ। ਵਿਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ 15 ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 6 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਬਾਲ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਏ। ਵਿਜੇ ਰਜਨੀਕਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਕ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ 1985 ‘ਚ ਆਈ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਨਾਨ ਸਿਵਾਪੂ ਮਨੀਥਨ’ ‘ਚ ਬਾਲ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
18 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ
18 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਵਿਜੇ ਨੇ ਨਲੱਈਆ ਥੀਰਪੂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਫਿਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਜੇ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਇਸੇ ਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ 8 ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ‘ਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। 1992 ‘ਚ ਆਈ ‘ਨਲੱਈਆ ਤੇਰਪੂ’ ਔਸਤਨ ਫਿਲਮ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਈ ਪਰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਜੇ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਕ ਤਿੰਨ ਹਿੱਟ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਵਿਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ‘ਚ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਲਗਭਗ 65 ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ‘ਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ‘ਚੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਬਾਕਸ-ਆਫਿਸ ‘ਤੇ ਬਲਾਕਬਸਟਰ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਤਨਖਾਹ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ
ਵਿਜੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਤਨਖਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤਾਮਿਲ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਹਨ, ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਥਲਾਪਤੀ 65’ ਲਈ 100 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਫੀਸ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਫੀਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ‘ਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ‘ਦਰਬਾਰ’ ਲਈ 90 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਫੀਸ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਜਨੀਕਾਂਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਫਿਲਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪਿਆਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ
ਸਾਲ 1996 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਪੂਵ ਉਨਕਾਗਾ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ, ਵਿਜੇ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਫਿਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਕਾਫੀ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਗੋਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਤਾਮਿਲ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ‘ਚ ਯੂਕੇ ‘ਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੰਗੀਤਾ ਦੀ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਇੱਥੇ ਵਿਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਗੀਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ‘ਚ ਕੈਮਿਓ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ
ਜਦੋਂ ਵਿਜੇ ਨੌਂ ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਦਿਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਆਪਣੀ ਭੈਣ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਡਕਸ਼ਨ ਹਾਊਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਉਸਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਵਿਜੇ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਡਕਸ਼ਨ ਹਾਊਸ- ਵੀਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਡਕਸ਼ਨ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆ-ਵਿਜੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਡਕਸ਼ਨ ਹੈ। ਅਕਸ਼ੈ ਕੁਮਾਰ ‘ਰਾਊਡੀ ਰਾਠੌਰ’ ‘ਚ ਵਿਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਦੇਵਾ ਨਾਲ ‘ਚਿੰਤਾ ਤਾ ਤਾ’ ਗੀਤ ‘ਚ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਏ ਸਨ।
